Common Diseases

With a projection of 41 million people affected by 2045, diabetes still seems to be underestimated in many African countries, where the trend is towards a constant increase in the figures for non-communicable diseases. The reasons are mainly due to the way of life of the populations. Sedentary lifestyle, lack of regular sports activities, poor eating habits are key factors. The public health programs do not seem to correspond, essentially oriented towards the usual infectious diseases (malaria, tuberculosis, etc.). It is becoming urgent to take measures to rectify the situation, both in terms of prevention, as well as that of care, which is very costly and which requires support from the States to the populations.
